I was honored to be able to capture my first "Birth Story" this month. I spent about four hours with an amazing couple that did a fantastic job bringing their beautiful baby boy into this world. It was amazing experience and I did have difficulty focusing at times because my eyes were filled with water :) I have great appreciation for them for trusting me and allowing me to be present at such a miraculous moment in life. It's a moment that can never be duplicated or relived. It's a moment that goes so fast, that so much takes place that it's hard to absorb all the details. That's where I come in. Photographing all the little details, doing it in an artistic way. Capturing the love that's so present through the whole experiencing. Capturing all the firsts. The first moment you see him or her. The first time he opens his eyes. The first time you hold him. These are amazing moments. I was able to create a video slideshow for this family with all these moments in it. It's something they can share with those who couldn't be there on that special day. And it's something they can look at again and again, to relive their baby's "birth day" when all those sleepless nights start to make things a little fuzzy. I can't wait to do it again!
